What we collect and why
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to process it: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number (if given), and details of what you ordered. This is used to fulfil your order, communicate with you about it, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
If you create an account, we store the details you provide and a record of your orders so you can view your order history and check out faster next time.
Payment is processed by our payment provider at checkout; we do not store your full card details ourselves.
Marketing emails
If you tick the newsletter opt-in box at checkout, we’ll use your email address to send you occasional marketing emails about new designs, offers and news. We only do this with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email we send, and this won’t affect your order or any other communications about it.
Cookies
Like most online shops, we use cookies to keep your basket working as you browse and to remember you’re logged in. These are essential to the site working and can’t be switched off in our systems. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, which you can control through your browser settings.
Who we share your data with
We share the order and delivery details needed to make and ship your item with our print-on-demand partner, Gelato, who print and dispatch each product on our behalf. We use website hosting and store-management services to run this site, and a payment provider to process your payment securely. We don’t sell your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep your data
We keep order information for as long as needed for accounting, tax and warranty purposes. If you leave a comment or review, it and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognise follow-up comments automatically.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, ask us to erase your data, or export your data. To exercise any of these rights, email shop@outandaboutadventures.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data hasn’t been handled properly.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Order and delivery data is shared with Gelato for fulfilment as described above, who may process it outside the UK/EEA as part of their global print network.
